What the site does

Oikea sähkön hinta turns the Finnish bidding-zone exchange price into an all-in price per kilowatt-hour: the retailer’s margin or fixed price, the network operator’s transfer fee from its own price list, electricity tax and the security-of-supply fee from the Tax Administration’s table, and VAT. Results are estimates. Your retailer’s and network operator’s bills are what count. The site is independent, sells no contracts and has no link to energy companies, network operators, the power exchange or public authorities. Method and limits: method and sources.

Liability

Prices and taxes are checked against their sources and the engine is tested automatically, but operators may change prices during the year and no guarantee of accuracy can be given. When the day’s exchange prices are unavailable, a marked average-price estimate is shown. The publisher is not liable for decisions made on the basis of an estimate alone. Copyright and data

Texts, graphics and code belong to the publisher. Statistics Finland data are used under CC BY 4.0 with attribution. Exchange prices are published by the power exchange and ENTSO-E, whose terms of use continue to apply. Legal texts are public.
